Paper Bride 7 (Chapter 2): Lost Homeland – Dusk fades away to leave nothing but the black pitch of night in the maw of the city, as the hero stumbles upon a home where the line between life and death is blurred. And it is here, at the hour of the most active spirits, that he stumbles upon a Taoist man, the only man alive in this convalescent nightmare.
The Taoist reminds Liu Fengze to be cautious; the concentration of Yin energy in this place can accelerate his death, and if he wants to save his stolen wife, he may have to sacrifice his life. Yet the master does not speak only as if for a warning, but also as the test of fate.
In the midst of the divination, a frightful truth emerges: One image of the golden boy and jade maiden, exquisite gifts of both genius and beauty with a deadly curse, embodies the life or death of Liu Fengze. The Morality Monk realizes that this is not an ordinary monk, and finally, the hero decides to trust the Taoist and comply with his conditions.
Chapter 2 Lost Homeland
To win the right to reshape his destiny and rescue the woman he loves, he must accomplish a perilous assignment, fulfill the unfinished transaction concealed within the letter, and undergo a ceremony whose outcome is impossible to foresee.
- First off, go to the Fishing Net Statue and match the drifting joss paper to their designs, then enter the password shown in the image to receive the Bronze Fishing Net.
- Next, flip through the Wordless Prophecy to reveal the new prophecy, then go to the Riverbank to trigger the story scene.
- After that, move to the collapsed Suspension Bridge and place the Bronze Fishing Net to cross, then pick up the String of Yansheng Coins on the other side.
- Next, give the String of Yansheng Coins to Eight Unspoken to receive a Great Fortune Draw, then hand the draw to the Old Taoist.
- Touch the Chess Formation on the ground and attempt the puzzle, then collect the Precept Ruler dropped by the fake Taoist.
- Then go to the plaza, push open the Homeward Terrace gate, and approach the entrance. Use the Precept Ruler to repel the paper hands reaching through the gate, then enter the Homeward Terrace.
- Next, take the Protective Amulet from the Turtle Shell Statue, then place the Great Misfortune Draw into the Collection Box.
- Look through the Binoculars toward the mortal realm and note the visible clues. Then follow the Wordless Prophecy and binocular hints to strike the decorative drums on the Plaza Wall in the correct order shown. Next, collect the Bronze Character Block and the Yansheng Coin from the ground.
- Then return to the Turtle Shell Statue at the Homeward Terrace and insert the Bronze Character Block to receive the Constellation Paper and Three Incense Sticks. After that, go to the Bridge Stairs by the riverbank and hang the Protective Amulet on the left hook to step onto the bridge.
- Next, place the Yansheng Coin onto the chessboard on the bridge floor, then position the Constellation Paper according to the image using the star clues. After that, strike the mourner’s hand with the Precept Ruler to obtain the Photo, then throw the Photo into the Collection Box at the Homeward Terrace.
- Then look through the Binoculars again to gather the next set of clues, then adjust the Kongming Lantern colors on each paper figure along both sides of the bridge to match the image and receive a Hook. After that, place the Hook onto the nearby boat and climb inside.
- Plant the Three Incense Sticks into the Incense Burner to receive a Paper Fish, then hang the Paper Fish on the Fisherman Statue’s hook in the plaza to obtain a Paper Fishing Lure. Then return to the boat, hang the Paper Fishing Lure on the fishing tool, and start fishing to pull up a Paper Turtle.
- Study the cracks on the Paper Turtle and press the Turtle Shell Statue pieces in the same order shown to reveal the Directions. Finally, give the Directions to Eight Unspoken on the boat to complete the chapter.
