Chapter 1: Ritual Search

Liu Fengze follows the streets of Liangkou to the Yue Lao Temple for a crucial ritual meant to open a passage between worlds. The city feels blurred, the living and spirits overlapping, and an old woman seems to watch him knowingly. Fengze prepares mirrors, candles, and incense to balance yin and yang, but the ritual is disrupted: his relic disappears, his phone fails, and familiar landmarks turn into obstacles.
Chapter 2: Lost Homeland

Night falls, and Liu Fengze discovers a home where life and death blur. He meets a Taoist who warns that the heavy Yin energy could end his life, yet the man offers guidance. A vision of the golden boy and jade maiden reveals a deadly curse tied to Fengze’s fate. Accepting the Taoist’s conditions, he resolves to save his stolen wife despite the risks.
Chapter 3: False Echoes

Danger comes from spirits and humans alike. Liu Fengze fights a flesh-eating monster, relying on relics, skill, and faith in divination. An imposter Taoist is revealed as a flesh-stealing spirit, and thanks to Fengze’s insight, Shen Moqing is freed. The threat, however, is not fully gone.
Chapter 4: The Trap

At Ksitigarbha Temple, Fengze faces a trial without divine lightning, beset by liars and magical beasts. Every word and step matters. He finds two imprisoned women, Wang Tongtong and Du Yante, and guides them safely past the temple’s traps and complex mechanisms, relying on intelligence and caution.
Chapter 5: Misfortune Returns

Fengze awakens in a hellish void where paper dolls boil, and iron pillars burn endlessly. Alone and threatened by spirits, he recalls a prophecy hinting that ruin can be undone. As he reunites with Mozi and Tongton, he confronts the bargain with the Eight Unspoken and the deadly fate of the golden boy.
