Catlife lets you live your life from the perspective of a cute cat and become the alpha cat of your group. You can decide a lot of things in the game, including your habitat and mood, but wisely make these decisions as they will impact your performance as a cat in the future. One wrong turn can finish your cat’s journey, while one right move will get you the ribbon.
There is a complete hierarchy of cats in the game, and you have to respect other cats to move up your rank in the hierarchy. With each hierarchy level, you will also unlock achievements and share them with the cat community to motivate them. Getting respect in Catlife is not a piece of cake, and you have to work hard to get the due respect. This article features information about how your habitat and other things affect your respect.
How to Get Respect in CatLife?
You start the game with four different habitat options, and the method of getting respect for each one is a bit different. The available options are the following: Street, Pet Store, Shelter, and Household.
Pet Cat
You can get respect in Catlife in many different ways, and most of those are similar to each other. If you are a pet and live with your human master, you can be respected by being a good cat and not doing anything bad. Go to the hierarchy menu and pick the desired cat to start your hierarchy journey.
Learn Different Tricks
The game will show you various options to interact with the particular cat and become enemies as you choose the cat. Try to be friends with the top cat of the hierarchy or someone of better respect. If your current master has more than one cat, this will give you a good chance to get some extra respect from them by being nice to them.
Hierarchy
Don’t go for the alpha pet of the hierarchy, especially if you have low respect, as alpha attacks cats to show their dominance on the pack. Gradually work your way up the hierarchy and start making friends from the bottom of the hierarchy.
Gain Respect using Act-up Options
If you don’t worry about what others will think about you, use the act-up options to gain respect by doing some funny things. Although this method is profitable for free respect, you will be sent to the shelter if something goes wrong. You can also perform some feats in front of other humans, like a mailman.
When you are on the streets
You need to go with the same strategy for respect on the streets but getting it is hard compared to someone’s house. Cats on the streets are aggressive most of the time, and they will attack you if you have way too low respect, but try to be friends with them. Follow the same plan as above and start with cats from the bottom of the hierarchy.
When you are in the habitat
The hierarchy of cats in the habitat is similar to the hierarchy on the streets. In the shelter, cats are more aggressive towards newcomers and those with little or no respect. Avoid attacking cats with better respect. If you are not that, you will win as it will make things worse, and your respect will go down. Get respect from lower and weak animals and go towards strong contenders afterward.
When you are in the pet store
If you are a dog in the pet store, you can do everything given above if no one takes you with them. Most of the time, someone will take you from the pet before you gain respect. The pet store is somewhat cruel, and they will send you to the pound if no one buys after some time.
