Confidential Killings is in the same vein as Golden Idol. If you’re familiar with those games, you’ll be prepared, but if not, here are some tips:
- Each scene has hotspots, some of which provide clues (words) for our reconstruction. Clues are color-coded and can only be used in the corresponding color slot (e.g., red is for names). The goal is to complete the reconstruction by placing the correct word in each slot.
- Names are locked in once you have both first and last names correct. The game will notify you when you’re one or two words away from the correct answer. While names aren’t necessary to complete a case, they’re a good starting point.
- The game allows some flexibility with synonyms. The word in my screenshot isn’t the only possible answer. For instance, Case 1 accepts both “Push” and “Sell” for the same spot.
- The eye icon in the lower-left corner highlights hotspots. Question marks indicate spots you haven’t examined, and ellipses mark those you have.
- Cases build on each other, creating an overarching narrative. If you get stuck on a later case, revisit an earlier one to see if new evidence connects the dots. It’s also helpful to name characters as soon as possible since they’ll reappear.
- Unlike Idol, which focuses on the crime moment itself, in this game, we arrive after the fact, with the police already on the scene. Keep this in mind—things may have been moved, or people may have had time to craft their stories.
- Finally, when questioning suspects, remember they’re responding to us. If someone is caught in a lie, they’re lying to a detective, so scrutinize them accordingly.
Tutorial Guide
Tutorial
Turn on the light, pick up the magnifying glass, then grab the phone.
Clues:
Phone Call: Detective, Crash, Lexington Street, Repose Street, Driver, Look
Hint:
This is to demonstrate the gameplay, so it’s a straightforward case.
Where exactly did the car crash occur?

Case 1 – Car Crash
Scene 1: Crash Site
- License Plate: Sell, Bradley
- Dripping Fluid: Car, Driver
- Officer: Lexington Street, Crash, Drunk, Drugged
- Flashlight: Torch, Looking
- Police Badge: Police, David, McCart
- Repose Street Sign: Repose Street
Scene 2: Car Interior
- The light is above the left window, which leads back to the crash site.
- Dead Body: Going, Push
- Bloody Note: Frank, Jakizzy
- Driver License: Fraser, Galway Street
- Glove Box:
- White Powder: Cocaine, Drugs
- Whiskey Bottle: Whiskey, Dust, Sip
Hints
- If someone died in a car crash, the obvious conclusions are a negligent or impaired driver, a sabotaged car, or someone forcing them off the road. The cop on the case instantly suspects drunk/drugged driving
- We’re still in the Tutorial, so names are straightforward. The only part you need to worry about is the driver’s first name.
- A bottle of whiskey in the glove compartment is not going to fill anyone with confidence, but does that prove the victim was drunk at the wheel?
- The list of names suggests the driver was selling grams of something to others. If that’s the case, we can’t assume the driver was partaking in any substances personally without more evidence.
- The white bags are explicitly noted not to be cocaine
- The oddity here is that there are two competing ways the crash could have happened: the cut brakes or the drugged whiskey. Which one was responsible, and why were both of them used at once?
- You’d have to be a real lightweight to get drunk off one sip of whiskey, even if something more substantial were in there.

Case 2 – Fraser Mansion
Clues:
Scene 1, Living Room:
- Bearded Man: Death
- Crumpled Letter: Fix, Diaz
- Other Letter: Son, Hadley, Badman
- Pop Art Painting: Substance
- Script: Sabotaging, Seducing, Ezra, Monarch, Kady, Keller
- Blonde Woman: Fraser, Advice
- Note: Patrick
- Headshot Portrait: Clarisse, Lehman, Gift
- Books on Shelf: Dominic, Murder
- Medicine Box: Medicine
- Medicine Bottle: Pills
- Dosage Note: Sleeping
- Woman in Wheelchair: Bradley
Scene 2, Garage
- Key Ring on Worker: Work
- Beat Up Truck: Smuggling
- Newspaper Clipping: Overdose
- Red Spots Car: Car
- Crumpled Note: Sister, Pedro, Poison
- Bottle: Whiskey
Hints:
- We’re here to talk to the family of Bradley Fraser. Not necessarily everyone here is a relative.
- The bearded man is an author, the blonde is working on a play, and the man in the garage is an employee.
- That actress’s headshot is from 20 years ago. Whoever it is would be aged by now.
- The magazine article about the blonde woman says that a renowned hero and author is producing a play. Note that they say produce and not write.
- From the previous case, we know two things about the killer: they sabotaged the car’s brake fluid and put some Drug in his whiskey. They would have to have access to the vehicle and some drugs.
- Who knows about Bradley’s drug trafficking, and who has a motive to stop it?
- The garage puddles look like a car sprung a leak, then drove out
- The note on the bearded man says that he doesn’t drive, so the cars and what’s in them don’t belong to him. Perhaps they’re the victim’s, but the beat-up vehicle seems a little cheap for this hill manor
- The locked medicine box contains strong sleeping pills. Thankfully, only seven are prescribed at a time
- Which is strange, as there are three in the bottle and the dose record says three have been used. One pill is unaccounted for
- Since the garage is connected to the house by the stairs, we can safely rule out the woman who used a wheelchair as a suspect
- Whoever the killer is, they must have access to the locked medicine box. How many keys are in play?
- It appears Bradley had an accomplice who tried to back out after something happened to their sister. Who’s the “Grease Monkey?”

Case 3 – The Party
Clues:
Scene 1, Pool
- Leather Bag:
- Journal: Pills
- Script: Patrick, Raven
- Pills: Allergic
- Flowers: Flowers
- Body, Clutched in Right Hand: Petals
Scene 2, House Interior
- Painting: Jeffery, Nadine
- Gold Teeth Man
- Cash: Money
- Radio Letter: Play, Testament, Paper
- Note from Raven: Shoot
- Bags on Table: Take
- Painting: Razor
- Record Player: Swapped
Scene 3, Bathroom
- Sink: Bathroom
- Man in Tub: Suffocate
Scene 4, Office
Turn on the desk lamp first
- Woman
- Cosmopuritan Maggie: Jakizzy
- Paper on Desk: Staibewurz
- Sleeping Man:
- Guest Kist: Ivy, Otter, Role, Kunta, Jack, Potter, Finley, Powell
- Letter: Martha
Hints:
- The first thing we’re told on the date is that this is the Stainewitz residence
- Poor sucker. He always wanted a pool. The dead man in the pool has no apparent wounds. The obvious causes of death would be poisoning, suffocation, or drowning.
- The pills in the leather bag are labeled Abradixidol red, but they’re clearly white.
- The list of people present in the office includes those who are present, in addition to those who aren’t present. This can be solved with the process of elimination.
- There are three similar-looking blonde women (living room, office, painting of Nadine) here. How can you distinguish them?
- You might remember the name Jakizzy from Bradley’s list of clients
- The script in the office shows Ivy Ottter and Kady Keller swapping roles. The note on the office woman says Raven was the leading cause
- Cosmpuritan says that Patrick Raven is a teetotaler. That is, he doesn’t take drugs
- Since Kady is here, this must be the same play she was discussing with Dominic Fraser in the last case
- There are two corpses: one in the tub of an apparent overdose and one in the pool. Are they connected or a coincidence?
- The invitation list notes Jack Potter to be out of control near drugs. Hopefully, he kept clean tonight, but the kilograms on the table don’t bode well.
- The cop says he was called about a noise complaint. This means none of the suspects here called the police, so they either didn’t see the body, or the only one who did was the culprit.
- The bathroom medicine cabinet has red Abroxidil (noted on the invitation list to be Raven’s) next to an empty medicine bottle. Hopefully, there wasn’t a mix-up.
- A P/Patrick between this case and the last seems to adore Kady. What’s her opinion on him? Keeping his poem crumpled up doesn’t bode well.
- There appear to be three grudges: the man with the gold teeth is hated by Raven for selling his wife drugs, and Raven hates the man in the tub for being a PR disaster. Additionally, some women hate Kady for taking her role and husband’s attention.
- The notes on the gold teeth and bathtub body show P Raven to be highly hostile and plotting to shoot them if they ever meet
- Which proves that they didn’t meet tonight, or they would have been shot
- The reconstruction only mentions one killing, so one body is an accident or unrelated to the murder
- It appears the pool victim was in the chair, held the flowers (clutched petals), then rifled through their bag for the pills (noted to be scattered in the bag), before ending up in the pool
- Patrick Raven is noted to be allergic to flowers in his doctor’s note. A bouquet addressed to him is effectively a murder attempt. Who would know him well enough to know about this?
- Someone had to have given those flowers to Raven to trigger his allergic reaction. Who here could Patrick meet with face-to-face and has a motive to kill him?

Case 4 – The Theater
Clues:
Scene 1, Stage
- Security Guard: Security
- Gun: Revolver
- Keller, instructions in inventory: Hiding, Hit
- Body, Note: Writer
- Man in a suit:
- Note: Breaking
- Note: Confrontation
- Script: Ezra, Monarch, Jeffery, Stainewitz
- Woman in Pink Dress
- Letter: Producer, Henry
- Knife: Knife
Scene 2, Hallway
- Redhead
- Script: Love, Betrayal, Jim, Blaire
- Gun: Pistol
- Guest Pass: Backstage
- Jeffery Stainwitz
- Letter: Dominic, Revenge
- Note: Choreographer
- Journalist
- Press Pass: Mille
- Cosmopuritan: Lover, Ivy, Otter
- Troy Note: Fiancée, Journalist
- Bulletin Board
- Caution!: Theft
- Blackout Note: Switching
- Man in Right, Note: Steal
Scene 3, Dressing Room
- Brunette: Evelyn
- Wedding Ring: Wearing
- Script: Kady, Keller, Finley, Powell, Ray, Mildred, Rhys, Hopkins, Martha, Hart
- Trash Can: Joining
- Redhead: Dennis
- Note: Wigs, Daggers
- Letter: Mistaking
- Letter from Mum: Cox, Assistant
Scene 4, Storage Room
Use the light switch first
- Costumes, Weapons, Wigs Sheet: Tommy, Moreno
- Boxes. Newspaper Clipping: Arrested
- Vent: Sword
Hints:
- The prop weapon switcheroo is a murder mystery classic. Whoever thrust the weapon is the immediate cause of death, but they may or may not be the person who planned the killing
- For character names, they do not want the name of the actress in the pink dress or the security guard
- This is the play Kady Keller was working on in the previous two cases, Scheming and Seducing, written by Erza Monarch. We’ve met both producers, Kad and Finley, and seen references to the cast in Stainewitz’s office. Patrick Raven and Ivy Otter were supposed to be on the cast, but with his death and her arrest (confirmed by Cosmopolitan and newspapers), they had to be replaced.d
- Today appears to be a dress rehearsal with four actors (and one in the changing room). One actor in the script isn’t present.
- The main confusing factor in this case is that many of the names mentioned are not present, or they make equal sense for multiple people. For example, numerous men have the first initial of T.
- The prop room is meant to be kept under lock and key, but since the key is left on the hook, it’s a moot point.
- According to Ezra’s screenplay, the characters Ruth and Hugh were having a sword duel. Hugh attacks Ruth, who mortally wounds him in defense.
- A sharp eye will notice that the swords held by the characters of Ruth and Hugh are not interchangeable: Ruth’s has a spiral handle, and Hugh’s has a straight handle.
- The man outside the dressing room has a letter and a bracelet with the initials IO. Sound familiar?
- Whoever Evelyn is, all the notes suggest she’s unqualified to do her job and consistently makes mistakes.
- The prop sword is stuck in a high vent. Many people would struggle to reach that.
- Wait a minute: The sword that killed Finley had a straight handle, and the one he’s holding is spiral. Does that match the costume chart?
- The screenplay has Hugh die, but since his role attacks Ruth, he could have killed her if he had the real sword.
- The obvious conclusion is that this was a plot to kill Finley, but could it also be a plot against Keller?
- If we accept that the target was Kady, who has a motive against her and had the opportunity to act?

- Note on Arrest: Killing
Scene 5, Hotel Room 1
- Screenplay: Kady, Keller, Martha, Hart, Evelyn, Role, Reduce
- Martha’s Purse:
- Troy’s Note: Stop
- Cosmopuritan: Startling, Knife
- Martha: Lounge
- TV: Busting
Scene 6, Hotel Room 3
- Penelope Marshall, Doctor Letter: Restrict
- Screenplay: Penelope, Played, Henry
Scene 7, Hotel Balcony:
- Defaced Screenplay: Ezra, Monarch
Scene 8, Hotel Room 2
- Corpse: Ice Pick
- Note from CK: Rewrite
- Schedule: Actors
- Recorder: Recorder
Hints:
- Except for hotel employees and the man in the lobby, you’ve seen them all before. Being good with faces will make this easier.
- The way people talk, it appears we were called due to the explosion and the death of Monarch, which is not known yet. Miller says that most of the cast was together in the lounge until the blast.
- The blood outside Room 3 looks suspicious, but if you look closely, Evelyn had a hand wound and is knocking on doors, and so does Penelope, so it implies nothing.
- Monarch’s door schedule says he keeps his hotel room door open, but it’s locked when we get here. Either the killer came in from the door or through the balcony, which would cut through room 1 or 3
- Martha says she hasn’t been able to leave the room because Kady won’t let her go. This means Room 1 was not used to access the balcony.
- All hotel employees wear hats, but the one in the hallway isn’t. Where did it go?
- The roster has the last names of all five hotel employees. First names require more attention and thought.t
- The long brown hair is neither Francisco’s nor Richard’s; the deceased has a conflict with William and is friends with Dexter, and Brett has gone missing.
- A tied-up man in the closet, an explosion killing an employee, and the death of Ezra Monarch. Are all of these related?
- There are two hotel master keys: one held by the brunet employee and one by Miller. How’d he get one?
- Someone’s gone through Penelope Marshall’s jewelry box. Are there any distinctive pieces?
- As far back as the mansion, there have been rumors that Monarch doesn’t write his own work. Someone was trying to contact Stainewitz at the time. Blair was trying to have a meeting with him again in the theater. Miller seems convinced there’s some truth to this story.
- That tape player was clearly not put there by Monarch. It appears to have captured one meeting with actors, one with his boss, and one with whoever killed him.
- Monarch has a CK letter telling him to rewrite the script, while the redheaded employee has a CK letter saying Monarch is changing it. Coincidence?
- The chair being pulled away and the thud in the tape imply the killer came in from the balcony.
- Jim Blaire and the tied-up man have very similar faces, but different hair colors.
- Nothing has been stolen from the murder scene, so the thieving employee isn’t the killer.
- Dominic Fraser sent five bottles over. One of them is with Mr Marshall, and one is with the employee in the Marshall room. Why would he order service if he’s out of the room?

Case 6 – The Interrogation of Kady Keller
This is the first interrogation. The rules are different: we collect words, then put in a keyword for a question for Kady to continue.
Before we go anywhere, let’s recap.
- Case 1/2: Bradley Fraser is killed in a car crash by his drug-smuggling accomplice. Before his death, he received a CK Letter asking about his father’s connections
- Case 3: Ivy Otter kills her husband because he let Kady take her role in a play
- Case 4: Tommy Moreno attempts to kill Kady for taking Ivy Otter’s role, but the plan is messed up, and he kills Finley
- Case 5: Ezra Miller and Jim Blaire receive CK Letters that lead to them conflicting and Blaire killing Miller. Kady Keller grows paranoid, and journalist Dennis Miller is convinced something more profound is afoot
Clues:
Scene 1, Interrogation Room
- Filing Cabinet: Killings
- Case Report: Hotel, Ezra, Monarch, Francisco, Marquez, Jim, Blaire, Letter K, Journalist, Dennis
- Kady Keller: Detective, Afraid, Notes
Question 1: Do these notes have a Letter K stamped on them?
Kady: Burn
CK Note: Kady, Keller, Actress, Ignroe, Patron
Question 2: Or, who is the Patron?
Ad Astra Letter: Life, Hopeful, Ad Astra, Testimonals, Star
Question: We have not received any complaints about these Ad Astra centers.
Kady: Feel, Miller
Question 4: Dennis Miller, the gossip writer?
Kady: Radio Station, Safe, Trap, Check
Hints:
- This one is open and shut. Kady is up front about her motivations and requests.
Solution:

Case 7 – Radio
Clues:
Scene 1, Recording Room
- Record Player: Aired
Scene 2, Studio
- Blonde:
- Camera: Camera
- Money: Davis
- Pink Shirt, Note to Alvarez: Microphone, Control Panel, Turntable, Cable
- Timetable: Keller, Hart, Penelope, Office, Recording Booth
- Mail Pile
- Eddie Letter: Failed
- A Listener: Confess
Scene 3, Miller’s Desk
- CK Note in Notebook: Danger
- Post-it Note: Apologize, Evelyn
- Confidential Document in Book: Torture, Replace
- Suing Document: Killed, Fire, Gregson
Scene 4, Guest Lobby
- Evelyn Cox, Metter from Mum: Explain
- Martha:
- Photo of Troy: Talk
- Letter from Troy: Martha, Kady
- Penelope: Interviews
- Doctor Letter: Marshall
- Personnel Lobby: Jakizzy, Kunta, Frank, Gaines, Dennis, Miller, Mike, Alvarez, Lobby
Scene 5, Manager’s Office
- Note on Left: Cox, Smash
- Middle Note: Jeffrey, Stainewitz
The final scene is the safe behind the painting in the Manager’s Office. This is a puzzle, so I’m giving hints
- The code is the birthdate (mmDDyyyy) of Evelyn Cox
- She turned 23 this year, and her birthday falls on a day when she organizes her boss’s office
- Her birthday this year is March 8th 1979
Answer: 03081956
Scene 6, Unlocked Safe
- Cash: Death
- Note: Deal
- Letter from Evelyn: Ended, Escape
- Badman Note: Hadley, Badman
Hints:
- The control panel ground cable has been severed. Whoever handled the control next would be electrocuted
- The clock short-circuited at 6, either AM or PM
- The final broadcast of Jakizzy says it was a surprise, like he was filling in for someone else
- Kady said Dennis Miller called her there to interview her, but his photographer says he ran off on a lead
- The broadcast schedule/manager’s office notes show Jakizzy and FabFrank doing music broadcasts, and Dennis Miller doing interviews and gossip
- Evelyn Cox is now a radio station employee. Her current responsibility is to keep guests cared for while they wait for their interview.
- The only viable culprit would be someone who works in the radio station, as guests wouldn’t have access to the recording booth.
- If Jakizzy’s set was a surprise, he can’t be the intended target, as the killer would have no way of knowing he’d handle the electronics at that time.
- Who wasinitiallyy supposed to air at 6 PM, and why would someone want them dead?
Solution:

Case 8 – Disco
Clues:
Scene 1, Dance Floor
- Left Officer: Drugged, Drunk, Stabbed
- Bartender: Counter

- Cosmopolitan Assignment: Dennis, Miller, Journalist, Greyson, Davis, Photographer
Scene 3, Davis’ Body
- Cosmopolitan Assignment: Photos
- Bribe Note: Discovered
Scene 4, Left Lineup
- Manager:
- Wages: Adams, Megan, Hawkins, Sophia, Smith, Barman, Gaines
- Crumpled Note: Amanda
- Jeffery Stainewitz, Dominic Letter: Jeffery, Destroyed, Ordered, Producer
- Cop: Found
- Ticket: Kenneth, Cleveland
- Cowboy, Fiscal Frontiers: Documented, Tobias, Hobbs, Musician
Scene 5, Right Lineup
- Henry Marshall, Ad Astra Note: Henry
- Penelope: Dead
- As Astra Note: Marshall, Actor
- Troy Dixon: Table
- CK Note: Troy
- As Astra Note: Singer
- Wedding Ring: Martha
- Left Dancer, Gaze Bag: Drug
- Middle Dancer: Dancer, Agent
Hints:
- You might be surprised to see Mike Alvarez here, as we just accused him of murder, but that case did note that the wire can not be sensitively proven to have been cut, so he’s off on a lack of evidence. He still has a motive to get rid of Dennis
- Greyson’s photos are our only way of knowing who did what before the murders
- So many people have a motive; it’d be better to start with means and go from there. Who can we prove handled the knife or the poison?
- The police noted that Greyson was discovered stabbed, and then the poisoned Miller was found later. From the sounds of it, their deaths were unrelated, and the finding of the stabbing complicated the poisoning.
- Everyone present will say where they were before the murder. Does anyone’s story contradict the photos?
- The trash can position bottle has a very distinctive shape, and the knife has a black etched handle. Do either of these show up in photos?
- The wig on the dance floor implies that one suspect looked different in the past. If you see someone with that hair, what other identifying traits do you have?

- Tape 1: Journalist, Wife, Sabotage, Doctor
- Tape 2: Actress
- Tape 3: Hart, Manager
- Screens: CCTV Room
- Weekly Turns: Morning, Security Guard, Josiah, Lloyd, Afternoon, Luke, Reed
Hints:
- All staff members are either day or afternoon staff, assuming everyone’s working their usual shift. There should be a doctor, two reception staff, and a security guard.
- The woman in the second room is our only witness who was here when the shooting started. She’s your starting point for the timeline.
- This is our first peek behind the curtain for how Gaze works and what effect it has on people.
- The blood from the psychology door to the boarded room implies the shooter had some injury, but not when they arrived.
- Only one of the two mentioned attends to VIP clients
- The dead body in reception tried the silent alarm, so they’re not the ones who called the police. It would have to be someone who arrived after the shooting who did
- The previous cases show Troy in an atypically low-earning contract with his manager. Martha disliked his Gaze usage and wanted him to go to a Rehab other than Ad Astra
- The cigarette package in the employee room says someone is covering the current shift
- A gaze is noted to make someone highly suggestible. If Troy’s a gaze user, whoever communicated with him last could make him do anything

Timeline and Reconstruction:

Case 10 – The interrogation of Kenneth Cleveland
Before we go anywhere, let’s recap
- Case 1 and 2: Bradley Fraser, son of famous author and war hero, Dominic Fraser, is killed by his drug-smuggling accomplice. He had a CK note telling him to ask about his father’s peer, “Roman.”
- Case 5: Ezra Monarch and Jim Blaire receive CK notes that encourage them into conflict, leading to Blaire killing Monarch. Both are users of Gaze.
- Case 6: Kady Keller receives a CK note asking about her “patron”
- Case 7: Journalist Dennis Miller gets documents, and CK notes looking into a Roman Lipko who allegedly died years ago. His boss is told to kill him, but gets the wrong person
- Case 8: Dennis Miller, despite a CK note’s warning, goes to a disco, where Mike successfully gets him killed. Kenneth Cleveland, a man with a CK stamp, is found trying to break in
- Case 9: Troy Dixon, in response to a CK note, goes on a mass shooting at an Ad Astra center before being shot himself. Ad Astra manufactures Gaze and recommends the work of Dominic Fraser
Clues
- Filing Cabinet
- Roman Lipko Report: Like, Incidents, Intervention, Army, Korean
- Case Report: Mike, Alvarez, Gaze, Poisoning, Murder
- Stamp: Stamp, Cleveland
- Kenneth: Kenneth, Empire
Question 1: There’s been a letter with your stamp connected to a lot of these deaths
Kenneth: Letters, Correspondence
Question 2: If your letter resulted in the murder of those you pointed them to
Kenneth: Roman
Question 3: Roman Lipko?
Kenneth: Smuggling
Question 4: Murder
Kenneth: Died, Police
Question 5: He enrolls in the Army to fight in the Korean War. But it says he died in 1952?
Kenneth: Hero
Jaws of Defeat Poster: Jeffery, Stainewitz, Dominic, Fraser
Question 6: Are you saying Roman Lipko stole Dominic Fraser’s identity?
Kenneth: Spy, Money
Question 7: And no one ever noticed he isn’t the Hero he claimed to be?
Kenneth: Destroy, Drug
Question 8: And that new Drug must be Gaze?
Kenneth: Partner, Trade
QuestDrug9: And that Trade must’ve been importing Gaze?
Kenneth: Operation
Question 10: Did you manage to get in on the Operation?
Question: Desert, Today
Question 11: What happens Today?
Kenneth: Mansion
Hints:
- The last case mentioned one effect of the Gaze: susceptibility to manipulation. A Gaze user will respond strongly to instructions.
- Ignoring the CK notes found on murderers, the rest share a motif: a friend named Roman, Kady’s patron, and the research given to Dennis. Who are they referring to?
Reconstruction: This one is very accepting of different names

Case 11 – The Mansion
Clues:
Scene 1, Foyer

Scene 5, Boardroom
- Dominic Fraser
- CK note: Revenge
- Doctor Letter: Condition
- Dominic Fraser’s Sheet: Dominic, Fraser, Bradley
- Jacob Byrne’s Sheet: Jacob Byrne
- Augustus Whitney’s Sheet: Augustus Whitney, Information
- Hadley Badman’s Sheet: Hadley, Badman, Spared
- Luke Hayes’ Sheet: uike, Hayes
- Gideon Horton’s Sheet: Gideon Horton
- Preston Cox’s Sheet: Preston, Cox
Hints:
- This case is self-explanatory and acts as a conclusion to all plot threads
- Last time we were at the mansion, Fraser was not strongly affected by his son’s death, while Clarisse was heartbroken. It wasn’t emphasized, but Fraser had a note where Diaz requested to quit and another note from Badman warning him that Bradley’s drug dealing was getting too obvious
- The most challenging part is putting names to the boardroom men, but that’s not necessary to complete the case. The confusing part is that not everyone is seated by the sheet they used. Process of elimination aside, some are described as old
- The boardroom has one survivor: Dominic Fraser (for the sake of our conclusion, that is the name we use)
- You’ve seen one of the boardroom members before. The rest are names you’ve seen in Cosmopolitan or notes. For example, politician Preston Cox and police member Hadley Badman
- What’s something that everyone in the boardroom who died ingested?
- Dominic is noted not to drink alcohol due to his heart condition
- The legal notes discuss that a typically toxic plant can be grown on private property by someone with a specific heart condition and medical clearance. It’s alcohol soluble
- The boardroom notes suggest that Ad Astra is being rebuilt, so Fraser has no motive to target his peers. He still needs their support
