Update 44: Iceblade of Narin went live on all platforms on September 23, and it brought Warframe's 66th playable frame straight to the top of everyone's build queue. Narin is a sword dancer built around ice — shield recovery, Cold procs, and a rapier finisher that snowballs into a screen-clearing ultimate. Unlike a straightforward Market purchase, though, getting her requires a short chain of prerequisites and a new farming loop most players haven't touched yet.

This guide walks through exactly what you need before you can even see Narin's vendor, where to grind the currency that buys her, and the fastest route to having her built and ready.

01What Narin Brings to Warframe's Iceblade Update

Narin's kit revolves around an ice meter that fills as she fights. Her passive, Sangodae, spawns Cold-damage ammo pickups off frozen kills. Neote, her first ability, is a rapier lunge that deals Cold and Puncture damage and builds Ice with every hit. Naraemagi recovers her shields by absorbing Cold status from nearby enemies and grants Overguard once she's topped up, and Hakchum is a tap-to-leap mobility ability that blankets her landing zone in Cold vulnerability. Her fourth ability, Nurinarim, needs a full Ice meter to cast — it summons an ancestral spirit that lets her sword-dance for continuous damage, and hitting marked, Frozen targets makes them explode for radial Cold damage.

She arrives alongside a new hub, Yuvan's Peak, built at a location on Earth that longtime players will recognize from the Zariman questline — the same summit where you were first asked to destroy, control, or consume a powerful elixir. The official Iceblade of Narin page frames it as the site where Narin's blade, Neote, sits frozen in a monument until you help clear the Entropic threat spreading from the Zariman.

Playstyle-wise, Narin rewards staying aggressive rather than kiting. Naraemagi turns incoming Cold procs into shield regeneration, so she actually wants enemies applying status effects near her, and every hit from Neote or Hakchum feeds the Ice meter that unlocks Nurinarim. Squads that stack Cold damage on their weapons can help her hit that threshold faster, since her passive also grants Cold Damage to her own abilities the more stacks are active on nearby enemies.

Narin isn't the only reason to load in this week. Update 44 is a mainline release, and Digital Extremes bundled several other systems alongside her:

• Banshee rework: her kit was overhauled — Sonic Boom is now a one-handed cast that strips 70% Armor and guarantees an Impact proc, Sonar reclassifies weak spots as Weak Points, and Sound Quake switched from a channeled ability to a 25-second area effect. Anyone who logs in between September 23 and October 7 gets a built Banshee and a Forma for free.
• Riven trait locking: you can now freeze one stat on a Riven Mod before rerolling it, at double the usual Kuva cost, so you stop losing the roll you actually wanted to keep.
• Citrine Prime Access: Citrine Prime, her Steflos Prime shotgun, and Corufell Prime melee weapon are now available through Prime Access packs or by cracking Relics.

Once both quests are cleared, Yuvan's Peak shows up as a new connection alongside your existing Zariman node. It's a straightforward loading-screen hub, not a mission, so getting there costs you nothing but a couple of minutes.

Digital Extremes added a dedicated tile, Melica's Lab, to the Zariman tile set specifically for this update, and players have reported it as one of the more consistent spots to run into Entropic Eximus spawns.

Because the currency is tied to a specific enemy rather than a mission reward, longer Zariman runs — Void Flood or Void Cascade rather than a quick capture — tend to produce more Entropic Kuva per hour simply because more enemies spawn over the mission's duration. Bring crowd control or wide-area damage if you want to identify and drop Eximus units before your squad pushes past them.

Cephalon Melica's shop isn't limited to Narin's blueprints, either. Her wares also include the Niveus cosmetic collection, ephemeras, and other accessories, all purchased with the same Entropic Kuva. If you're planning to fully kit Narin out with matching cosmetics, it's worth farming past the bare minimum needed for her Main and Components before you stop running Zariman missions.

06Building Narin, Neote, and Her Signature Weapons

Once you've got enough Entropic Kuva, Cephalon Melica's shop covers everything: Narin's Main and Component blueprints, plus the schematics for her two signature weapons. The Nunchasa is an ice-and-void bow whose alt-fire launches a charged blizzard arrow, and the Aksondol pistols create a freezing mist cloud on reload. Both fit her Cold-focused kit if you want a themed loadout rather than mixing in unrelated weapons.

If you'd rather skip the currency grind entirely, Narin's Main and Component blueprints also drop from standard Zariman mission rewards — the same tables that hand out Zariman weapons and mods — so regular runs will eventually hand you her parts without a single trip to Melica. Everything still runs through the standard Foundry build timer once you've got the blueprints, so queue her Main first if you're planning ahead — you'll want it finished before her Components come out of their own builds. 07Should You Unlock Narin Right Now?

If you've already cleared the Zariman questline, there's little reason to wait. The update also runs a free Banshee login reward from September 23 through October 7, so logging in regularly during this window nets you a second Warframe alongside whatever progress you make toward Narin. Newer players who haven't finished Whispers in the Walls should treat that quest as the actual priority — Narin, Yuvan's Peak, and the entire Entropic Kuva loop simply won't be visible until it's done.

It's also worth pacing yourself around what's coming next. Digital Extremes has confirmed that Glacial Defiance, a six-player mission type, will launch from Yuvan's Peak sometime before or on October 15, and Riven Splicing — a system for merging two Riven traits into one — arrives alongside it. Narin herself isn't tied to either system, but if you're stockpiling Entropic Kuva anyway, there's no downside to over-farming slightly now rather than scrambling once Glacial Defiance adds its own rewards to track.
