Warframe's Epoch Operation: Taubound Is Live Until November 17

Warframe's one-time Epoch Operation: Taubound event runs on Eris through November 17, trading Moonflesh to the Sentient Praghasa for exclusive rewards.

Warframe's Epoch Operation: Taubound went live on October 15 and runs for exactly one month, closing on November 17. Digital Extremes is calling it a never-before-seen, one-time-only event, and the studio has said flatly that it will not return once the window closes, so this is the moment to get in on it if you want the rewards attached to it.

01What Is Epoch Operation: Taubound?

Taubound opens a path toward the Tau System with help from Praghasa, a Sentient Mothership who needs an extraordinary amount of energy to make the trip. That energy comes from Moonflesh, a new resource you gather on Eris and hand over to her in exchange for rewards. Access to Eris has been opened up for the event: the normal Star Chart and Junction requirements are lifted, so any Tenno who has finished the Vor's Prize quest can head there immediately, no progression gate required.

Interacting with Praghasa during the event also unlocks daily narrative updates that are exclusive to Taubound, giving the operation a light story thread on top of the farm. The promotional art Digital Extremes released for the event leans into a card-table motif, with your Operator shown dealing hands across from Praghasa rather than fighting her outright, which lines up with Portau, a card mini-game the studio first showed off for the Tau System at TennoCon 2026.

TipRun short Eris mission types like Exterminate or Capture back-to-back instead of long Survivals — each completion pays the same flat Moonflesh reward, so more completions per hour beats one long run.

02How to Earn Moonflesh on Eris

Moonflesh comes from completing Mission nodes on Eris, which award a fixed amount on finishing a run. On top of that baseline, Infested enemies on the planet have a chance to drop extra Moonflesh when killed, and Digital Extremes is running rotating Tactical Alerts throughout the event window that boost how much you bring in. There's no single "best" node confirmed by the studio, so your fastest approach is whichever Eris mission type you can clear quickest and repeat.

03Praghasa's Rewards: What You Can Unlock

The headline rewards for trading in Moonflesh are the Contegorus Armor Set, the Vacis Amp Skin, the Dhampyre Syandana, a new Honoria, and a Legendary Core. Beyond those, Praghasa's full reward track also includes a long list of glyphs, sigils and emblems (including the Taubound Sigil and the Epoch Operation Vessel Emblem), cosmetic extras like the Naktavyre Armor Set and Valdur's Syandana, plain resources such as Kuva, Credits and Endo, and a set of melee and secondary mods. Tauforged Crimson, Azure and Amber Archon Shards are also on the list, which matters if you're still filling out a build.

04Why This Leads Into Warframe: Tau

Taubound isn't a standalone event so much as a bridge. Digital Extremes revealed Warframe: Tau at TennoCon 2026 as the game's next narrative chapter and an all-new Star Chart region, set to arrive free on all platforms later this year. Taubound is explicitly framed as preparation for that move: finish the event's Eris farm and the permanent Tau Prologue Quest that unlocked in the Codex on the same day, October 15, and you're set up for whatever Tau brings. The Prologue itself requires having already completed The Hex and The Old Peace, but it isn't required to farm Moonflesh.

“Warframe is for you, Tau is for you, and we are so excited to experience this journey with you together.”Rebecca Ford, Creative Director, Warframe

05One-Time-Only: No Reruns

The part worth repeating is the part Digital Extremes keeps repeating: once Epoch Operation: Taubound ends on November 17, you lose access to Praghasa's dialogue and her reward track for good. That's a different model from Warframe's usual rotating event calendar, where missed content often resurfaces months later. Xbox's own write-up frames it the same way, inviting new and returning players on the platform to jump in on Eris before the window shuts.

06Key Dates to Plan Around

Taubound follows directly on from Update 44: Iceblade of Narin, which went live September 23 and is still the current major patch, so you don't need to update anything extra to take part. That update also ran a free Banshee-and-Forma login reward through October 7, added the Yuvan's Peak hub, and introduced the Narin Warframe and a Banshee rework, none of which is required for Taubound but all of which shipped in the same content wave leading up to it.

If you're coming back after time away, budget a session just to finish Vor's Prize if you haven't already, since that's the only gate standing between you and Eris during the event. From there, it's a matter of running Eris missions between now and November 17 before Praghasa's offer disappears for good. Both the event and the Xbox-specific promotion for it went live on the same October 15 date, so there's no reason to wait once you're free to play.

FAQ

When does Epoch Operation: Taubound end?

November 17, 2026. Digital Extremes has said the event will not return after that, so the chance to visit Praghasa and spend Moonflesh disappears once it closes.

What do I need to unlock Eris for the event?

Just the Vor's Prize quest. Taubound lifts Eris's normal Star Chart and Junction requirements, so any Tenno who has finished Vor's Prize can go straight there for the event's duration.

What are the best rewards to prioritize?

The featured rewards are the Contegorus Armor Set, Vacis Amp Skin, Dhampyre Syandana, a new Honoria and a Legendary Core. Tauforged Archon Shards are also on the list if you still need them for a build.

Does Taubound connect to Warframe: Tau?

Yes. Digital Extremes frames the event, plus the new permanent Tau Prologue Quest added the same day, as preparation for Warframe: Tau, the next narrative chapter and Star Chart region revealed at TennoCon 2026.

Do I need Update 44: Iceblade of Narin to play?

You just need to be on the current version of Warframe, since Taubound shipped as part of the same content wave as Update 44, which has been live since September 23.
