NARAKA: BLADEPOINT's November 5, 2026 update is one of the bigger content drops 24 Entertainment has shipped this year. It adds a new playable hero, a new water-only weapon, and a brand-new PvE Showdown mode, on top of a long list of hero tuning, Souljade changes, and marketplace adjustments. Here is everything that changed.

01NARAKA: BLADEPOINT's November 5 Update Goes Live

The update followed a scheduled maintenance window from November 4, 2026, 23:00 UTC to November 5, 2026, 04:00 UTC. Once servers came back up, the patch unlocked a new hero, a new weapon, a new Showdown mode, and a run of limited-time events that stretch into December. 24 Entertainment detailed the full changelog in its official patch notes, which also cover hero balance, Souljade tuning, and store updates.

TipThe new Bident only works in water — its spiral mechanism needs water flow to attack, so it's useless on dry land. Only pick it up when you're fighting in or near one of the map's flooded zones.

02New Hero: Kael, "The One Who Eats Void"

Kael is the update's headline addition. According to the official patch notes, he was once an unremarkable disciple of the Herald before merging his soul with Taotie, a devouring spirit that left him wielding power he can barely control. He calls himself The One Who Eats Void and has thrown himself into the fight to save the world, even as his own hunger threatens to consume him. The patch notes describe his kit as still evolving, caught between ravenous bouts of gluttony and his own attempts to rein that hunger in, which lines up with abilities built around consuming resources and overwhelming enemies at close range.

03New Weapon: The Wanchu Bident

The other new piece of gear is the Bident, a twin-pronged weapon the patch notes attribute to the "merfolk," criminals the Herald is said to have exiled to the Deep Ocean. A spiral mechanism between its prongs stirs up an undercurrent with every swing and thrust, briefly trapping and subduing foes underwater. It's obtained only in the Wanchu - Dark Pearl Abyss area, and the patch notes are explicit that it needs water flow to attack, so it only functions in water. That makes it one of the more situational weapons NARAKA: BLADEPOINT has added, built specifically around the underwater combat tweaks bundled into this same patch.

04New Showdown Mode: Vanquisher's Trials

Showdown, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT's rotating PvE mode, gets a new addition in Vanquisher's Trials, set in a secret temple hidden on The Morus Isle. Players enter without their own weapons or Souljades and have to rely on preset heroes and loadouts instead. The mode runs two difficulties, Nightscream and Legend, each split into three stages: Iron Sunder, Six Paths Trial, and Sandforge Tribulation. Legend difficulty doesn't open immediately — it unlocks a week after the event begins, and a new Legend stage then opens every seven days after that. Rankings on Legend are based on best completion time, tracked separately for solo and Trios play, with the top 10, top 100, and top 500 on each leaderboard earning limited-time titles once the event wraps.

05Hero Tuning and Underwater Combat Changes

Outside the new content, the patch notes list adjustments to Yueshan and Kylin Zhang, plus a dedicated set of underwater combat changes that work alongside the new Bident. The Polesword Souljade was also retuned, and the Herald's Trial ranked mode picked up changes to how rank and points are calculated. On the economy side, the marketplace now requires a character level of 50 to list items, up from 10, and the cooldown before a traded item can be listed again has doubled from 24 to 48 hours — both aimed at slowing down account-flipping and item scalping.

06Limited-Time Events Running Through December

Several events launched alongside the patch. Martial Cutie, a pet-focused event, runs from the update until December 29 and introduces a new pet, Molin, a new weapon type called Heng Sword, and a dedicated Paw Leaderboard. Devouring Breath, Ashes of the Realm, and Cold Front's Aspirant all run on shorter timers through November 18–20 and reward players for completing daily and weekly quest chains. A third PlayStation Tournaments event also kicked off on November 5 and runs through December 2, rewarding weekly quest completion with a limited-time Cloud Medal. Players who want the full list of smaller fixes and store changes can check the official patch notes directly, since several of the limited-time rewards are only available for a few weeks before they rotate out.
