WARDOGS Season 2 Launches With New Weapons, Vehicles and Rain
WARDOGS' Season 2 update is live with four new weapons, four vehicles, a rain weather system and an experimental wager vendor from BULKHEAD.
BULKHEAD's 100-player tactical shooter WARDOGS has dropped its first major content update since launching into Steam Early Access. Season 02 went live on October 15 following a scheduled 90-minute maintenance window, and the developer published the full patch notes on the game's official Steam news page. The update adds four weapons, four vehicles, three buildables, a new rain weather system and an experimental gambling feature, alongside balance changes aimed at the game's long-struggling third faction.
01Four New Weapons and Gear Changes
Season 02 adds the TCX-SPR assault rifle, the PP-19 Bizon SMG, the Evo-3 Ultra LMG and the M14 marksman rifle, each backed by a new set of optics, muzzle devices, magazines and bipods. BULKHEAD also introduced the Molotov, a thrown incendiary that splashes fire on impact, burns players caught in it over time, and can set destructible foliage alight. Rain in the new weather system reduces how long a Molotov's flames keep burning, so the item plays differently depending on the map's conditions.
Two existing gear pieces got reworked alongside the new arrivals. The infrared range finder now runs on a battery that lasts roughly 80 seconds of active use and drains faster if you toggle it on and off quickly, while Level 3 and Level 4 helmets gained extra suppression resistance. The Level 4 helmet specifically now muffles audio, restricts field of view, and fogs up while sprinting, trading some of its protection for real downsides in a firefight.

02Vehicles, Buildables and the New Rain System
Ground and anti-air options both expand this season. The Wolf-110 is a fast, lightly armored transport, with an assault variant that bolts a ring-mounted M2 Browning onto the same chassis. The T-72B3 joins as a main battle tank that trades some speed for a cheaper price and better fuel efficiency than WARDOGS' existing heavy tank, and the Flakpanzer Gepard gives teams a dedicated anti-air vehicle for the first time. Three new buildables - an MG Nest emplacement, a Large Shelter, and a simple Wooden Step - round out the construction options available at Control Zones.
The patch's new rain weather preset is more than a visual flourish. Surfaces, vehicles and characters visibly wet down as rain falls, and the sound of rain changes depending on whether you're indoors, in a vehicle, or caught out in the open. Thunder strikes are synchronized across the whole server, hitting every player at the same moment from the same direction, and BULKHEAD says the sound is loud enough to mask footsteps - turning a weather event into a tactical window for anyone willing to use it. Destroying a roof also lets rain start coming through it, and spotting range drops while it's raining.

03Gold Market Camos and the Experimental Wager Vendor
Eight new weapon and vehicle skins join the Gold Market across four camo families: a Season 2-exclusive Black & Gold scheme for the Little Bird, a Chocolate Chip set spanning the Evo-3 Ultra, M14 and TCX-SPR, a Two-Tone Desert set for the Galil, Mosin and Havoc, and a Digital Wood finish for the M500. The previous Black & Gold AK camo has been removed from the Gold Market to make room.
The season's most unusual addition won't be available at launch. BULKHEAD is adding a Wager Vendor later in Season 02 that lets you bet your own in-game cash on your own performance - setting objectives, choosing how many deaths you're willing to spend completing them, and staking cash against the odds you set yourself. A live tracker above the minimap shows your progress toward winning or losing the bet. BULKHEAD has been candid that it's a first pass at a genuinely experimental feature and that it may pull the Wager Vendor from the game later in the season if it proves too exploitable.

04Lonestar Balance Changes and What's Next
Season 02 also targets a problem BULKHEAD has acknowledged publicly: the Lonestar faction has posted the lowest win rate of WARDOGS' three teams since Early Access launched on September 10, and it's become something of a running joke in the community. The patch notes confirm combat balancing around weapon damage, recoil and suppression, plus Lonestar-specific adjustments and new restrictions on switching teams late in a match, intended to stop players from abandoning the team mid-fight once it falls behind.
WARDOGS launched into Steam Early Access on September 10, 2026, and Season 01 carried it through its first month of live content before this update. BULKHEAD hasn't attached a date to Season 03 yet, and with the Wager Vendor still pending its mid-season rollout, the most reliable way to track what changes next is the Steam news page itself rather than secondhand roundups.
