Rainbow Six Siege Y11S3.1 Patch Notes: Every Change Today

Rainbow Six Siege's Y11S3.1 update refines Buck, Castle, Fenrir, Maestro and Sledge, plus M1014 and SPAS-15 damage buffs and a wave of bug fixes.

Ubisoft shipped Y11S3.1 for Rainbow Six Siege on September 22, framing it as a refinement patch rather than a meta shakeup. Console players see the same update as build 3.49/1.000.154. Nothing here shifts an Operator's overall power level; instead, Ubisoft tightened five Operator gadgets and two shotguns while clearing out a long list of bugs tied to Noor's Horus Lance and a few map inconsistencies.

01What Changed in Y11S3.1

Y11S3.1 lands mid-way through Operation Split Fire, Year 11 Season 3, and touches Buck, Castle, Fenrir, Maestro and Sledge, plus base damage on the M1014 and SPAS-15 shotguns. Ubisoft's own notes describe the pass as quality-of-life polish: adjustments meant to improve consistency and responsiveness "without shifting the meta." Every operator change in this patch is a buff, and the bug-fix list is unusually long for a mid-season update, with 15 of the entries tied to a single gadget interaction.

02Attacker Buffs: Buck and Sledge Get Smoother

Buck's Skeleton Key shotgun now carries 36 rounds, up from 31, letting him keep breaching floors and walls for longer without resupplying. Sledge's Breaching Hammer now takes 0.8 seconds to swing instead of a full second, a change Ubisoft says is meant to make his destruction "more fluid" when chaining wall breaches during a push.

The M1014 also gets louder across the board: base damage rises from 28 HP to 30 HP, a change that affects Ace, Castle, Pulse and Thermite. The SPAS-15, carried by Caveira and Thunderbird, goes from 24 HP to 26 HP. Ubisoft frames both as close-range consistency fixes rather than range extensions, so neither shotgun's falloff curve changes.

03Defender Buffs: Castle, Fenrir and Maestro

Castle's Armor Panel now takes 10 melee hits to destroy instead of 9, buying defenders a little more time before a barricade goes down under a knife. Fenrir's F-NATT Dread Mine reaches maximum gas range in 1.9 seconds rather than 2, letting him deny pushes a fraction faster once the mine triggers. Maestro's Evil Eye camera also gets more staying power, with battery life climbing from 8 seconds to 9.

None of these numbers are dramatic on their own, but together they read as Ubisoft leaning further into gadget uptime and reliability this season rather than raw damage or utility count changes.

04Bug Fixes: Noor's Horus Lance Gets a Cleanup Pass

Operation Split Fire introduced Noor, an Egyptian defender built around the Horus Lance, on September 1, and this patch is the first major cleanup of how that gadget interacts with the rest of the roster. Fixes include Montagne's Le Roc Shield auto-retracting when struck by the Lance, shield Operators taking no damage from it when pressed against a wall, and flames traveling in the wrong direction when the Lance hit Blackbeard's H.U.L.L. shield mid-rappel. Ubisoft also fixed Ying's Candela failing to deploy when caught by Horus Lance flames, and closed a case where players could cancel the removal animation to instantly clear the Lance from their back.

Outside of Horus Lance interactions, the patch straightens out the attacker spawn markers on House's tactical map, fixes a camera that went blank at Villa's Basement bombsite at round end, corrects a compass mislabel between two rooms on Consulate, and restores team colors that were resetting to default after match replays. Two connectivity fixes round out the notes: squad members in the Shooting Range now properly follow their Squad Leader into a custom lobby, and players who disconnect from a squad can reconnect to the ongoing match again instead of being locked out.

05Why This Patch Matters

Y11S3.1 arrives as a check-in patch between Operation Split Fire's launch content and the next full season, and it's a useful signal for how Ubisoft is currently balancing Siege: small, reversible nudges to gadget timers and shotgun damage rather than operator reworks. If you're deciding what to prioritize on the range before jumping into ranked, the Skeleton Key ammo bump and the faster Breaching Hammer swing are the two changes attacking players are most likely to feel immediately, while Castle and Fenrir players get a small survivability cushion on defense.

Every change here is live now across PC, PlayStation and Xbox. Ubisoft has not announced a follow-up hotfix window, so treat these numbers as the current baseline heading into the back half of Year 11 Season 3.
