Marvel Rivals Tier List: Best Heroes in the Season 10 Meta
Our Marvel Rivals tier list ranks every hero touched by Season 10's balance patch, reasoned from Version 20260911's verified buffs, nerfs and reworks.
01Marvel Rivals Season 10's Balance Patch, Explained
Season 10: Butcher's Blasphemy launched on September 11, 2026, and NetEase shipped it with one of the widest balance sweeps the game has seen. The Version 20260911 Balance Post touches roughly 70% of the roster, from a full Scarlet Witch rework to a quiet Strategist-wide cut to ultimate charge speed. If you main a hero and haven't read the patch yet, some of your muscle memory is already out of date.
This tier list ranks every hero the official post actually changed, grouped by role, using nothing but the numbers NetEase published. Where a hero's kit was untouched this patch, we've left them out rather than guess at where they land — you'll find them back here once a future balance post gives us something to verify. That also means you won't see Gorr the God Butcher, Season 10's new Duelist, in any tier below: he launched alongside this balance post rather than inside it, and his overhealth-stacking kit has no patch history yet to reason from. Consider that unranked, not weak.
02How We Ranked This Tier List
This is opinion, not a leaderboard pulled from ranked data — Season 10 is too new for reliable win rates. We reasoned each hero's tier from the balance post's verified numbers using the process below.
How We Ranked Every Hero
- 1We pulled every number in the Version 20260911 Balance Post, not just headline nerfs like Scarlet Witch's rework or Captain America's new 350 health pool.10 min
- 2Vanguard, Duelist and Strategist heroes get separate tiers since a tank buff and a support buff don't compete for the same team slot.5 min
- 3Health and shield changes shift how a hero trades in a dive — we rank raw HP and mitigation swings above small damage tweaks.5 min
- 4Cooldown and damage changes to team-ups, like Magneto and Scarlet Witch's or Captain America and Thor's, move a hero's tier even when their own kit is untouched.5 min
- 5New arrivals like Gorr the God Butcher have no balance history yet, so we leave them unranked rather than guess at a win rate.2 min
03Vanguard Tier List for Season 10
Thirteen Vanguards got touched this patch, and the split is unusually clean: tanks either gained meaningful health and utility, or lost it.
| Tier | Heroes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| S | Captain America, Rogue | Biggest raw stat gains of any Vanguard |
| A | Emma Frost, Doctor Strange, Peni Parker, Deadpool | Clear kit or team-up improvements |
| B | Thor, Devil Dinosaur, Angela, Groot | Minor buffs or a wash |
| C | Magneto, The Hood, The Thing | Health, shielding or cooldowns cut |
Captain America is the clearest S tier: his base health jumps from 300 to 350, his Vibranium Energy Saw loses its bounce damage falloff entirely, and his Thor team-up now lasts 10 seconds instead of 7. That's a tank who trades and survives longer without giving up anything. Rogue lands next to him — her regenerative shield rises from 250 to 275, energy regeneration jumps from 15 to 25 per second, and her absorption bonus climbs from 125 to 150, all of which make her far harder to burn down in an extended fight.
Emma Frost also moves up: her health rises from 650 to 675, her telepathy range extends from 18 to 20 meters, and her dash distance grows from 7 to 8.5 meters, giving her more room to disengage after diving. Doctor Strange and Peni Parker both got pure quality-of-life buffs: Strange's dagger projectile speed rises from 60 to 80 m/s with a faster attack interval, and Peni's web cluster fires every 0.25 seconds instead of 0.3 with the self-slow removed, making her far more comfortable to play aggressively. On the losing side, Magneto loses 50 health and 50 shield value, and his once-scary Scarlet Witch team-up now has a longer cooldown and less damage. The Hood fares worse still — lower health, a two-second longer cooldown, and his projectile damage reduction falls from 35% to 20%, all in the same patch.

04Duelist Tier List for Season 10
The Duelist changes are the widest of the three roles, and they split almost evenly between clear buffs and clear nerfs.
| Tier | Heroes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| S | Wolverine, Iron Fist | Damage and cost changes stack in their favor |
| A | Mister Fantastic, Namor, Psylocke, Star-Lord, Spider-Man | Solid, unambiguous buffs |
| B | Deadpool, Blade, Scarlet Witch | Situational gains or a full rework still settling |
| C | Black Cat, Black Widow, Elsa Bloodstone, Magik, Winter Soldier | Direct nerfs to core stats |
Wolverine tops the list: his claw damage rises from 15 to 18, his rage scaling improves, and his healing bonus is standardized to a flat 300 — a straightforward damage and sustain buff with no real downside. Iron Fist sits right beside him, gaining three extra damage on his first four strikes, five extra on his fifth hit, and a cheaper ultimate at 3,100 energy instead of 3,400. Both heroes came into the patch strong and left it stronger. Just below them, Namor, Psylocke and Star-Lord each picked up clean damage or utility gains — Namor's trident hits for 80 instead of 75 and his Hulk team-up cooldown shrinks by five seconds, Psylocke's shurikens fly faster and hit harder, and Star-Lord's shield capacity grows from 100 to 125 alongside a faster-charging ultimate. Mister Fantastic and Spider-Man round out A tier with cooldown and damage tweaks that make both noticeably more mobile in a straight fight.
Scarlet Witch is the patch's biggest question mark rather than its biggest winner. NetEase gave her a new ability, Scarlet Hex, and reworked her Chaos Mark passive to convert 25% of the damage she deals into bonus health — a real survivability upgrade. But her Chaos Control damage drops from 85 to 75 per second, her Dark Seal stun now only triggers on the initial detonation instead of throughout, and her movement speed during her ultimate falls from 50% to 35%, making her easier to punish once she commits. We've landed her at B tier for now, but treat that as our read on a kit that's still settling, not a settled number.
On the nerf side, Black Widow loses damage retention at range — her falloff now kicks in earlier, dropping from 75% to 65% damage at 40 meters — and her ultimate costs 300 more energy to charge. Winter Soldier's slow effect weakens from 35% to 25% and his voltage charge time gets a full second longer, blunting the crowd control that made him a lockdown pick.
05Strategist Tier List for Season 10
Before you look at any individual Strategist's tier, know the role-wide change: healing-to-energy conversion drops from 70% to 65%, and damage-to-energy conversion falls from 55% to 50%, for every Strategist in the game. That's a slower ultimate-charging support meta across the board, on top of the hero-specific changes below.
| Tier | Heroes | Why |
|---|---|---|
| S | Jeff the Land Shark | Healing, projectile speed and ultimate pool all increased |
| A | White Fox, Loki | Clean healing throughput buffs |
| B | Luna Snow, Deadpool, Mantis | Mixed changes that roughly cancel out |
| C | Ultron, Invisible Woman, Cloak & Dagger, Gambit | Net nerfs to their core kit |
Jeff the Land Shark is the clear standout: healing rises from 130 to 140 per second, his projectile speed jumps from 100 to 150 m/s, and his ultimate's healing pool climbs from 100 to 130 per second. That's a support who heals more, lands it more reliably, and gets more value out of his ultimate, all at once. Mantis is the messiest read in the role — her orb charge time gets a full second slower, but her soul form area healing rockets from 5 to 30 per second and her Adam Warlock team-up healing improves too, so her value now leans much harder on staying in soul form.
Cloak & Dagger took the clearest hit: their vulnerability debuff weakens from 28% to 20%, area healing drops from 25 to 20, and their Luna Snow team-up shield duration is shorter. Combined with the role-wide ultimate energy nerf, they're a noticeably weaker pick than they were before September 8.

06The Biggest Winners and Losers of Version 20260911
Zoom out from individual tiers and a pattern shows up fast: NetEase spent this patch shoring up heroes with strong kits but middling survivability — Captain America, Rogue, Wolverine, Iron Fist and Jeff the Land Shark all gained health, healing or damage without losing anything in exchange. On the other side, heroes who relied on hard-to-punish defensive tools got trimmed: The Hood, Magneto, Black Widow, Winter Soldier and Cloak & Dagger all lost some combination of health, shielding or crowd control.
NetEase flagged the shift itself ahead of the post going live.

If your main landed in our C tier, that doesn't mean bench them — Marvel Rivals' team-up system means a hero's real strength depends on who's queuing next to them, and several team-up cooldowns moved independently of the heroes' own kits this patch. Check the official balance post linked above before you build your next comp, especially if you're relying on Magneto and Scarlet Witch or Captain America and Thor together.
FAQ
What patch is this Marvel Rivals tier list based on?
Every ranking here comes from the Version 20260911 Balance Post that shipped with Season 10: Butcher's Blasphemy on September 11, 2026 — the numbers above are copied straight from that official post.
Is Scarlet Witch still viable after her Season 10 rework?
She's playable but different: her new Scarlet Hex ability and the damage-to-health conversion on Chaos Mark trade raw burst for sustain, while her movement speed drop during her ultimate makes her easier to punish. We've placed her in B tier until more match data settles the new playstyle — treat that as an opinion, not a confirmed number.
Which heroes got hit hardest by the Season 10 nerfs?
The Hood took the most direct hit — lower health, a longer cooldown and a weaker projectile damage reduction all in one patch — followed by Magneto's health and shield cuts and Black Widow's reduced falloff damage and pricier ultimate.
Why isn't Gorr the God Butcher ranked?
Gorr is Season 10's new Duelist and wasn't part of the Version 20260911 balance changes, since he launched alongside them. We're labeling him unconfirmed until there's enough ranked data to judge his overhealth-stacking playstyle fairly.
Did every Strategist get weaker this patch?
Not directly, but the whole role did lose ultimate charge speed — healing-to-energy conversion dropped from 70% to 65% and damage-to-energy from 55% to 50% for every Strategist, on top of hero-specific changes like Jeff the Land Shark's healing buffs.
