02The Splinters of Evil, Explained

Killing one of the three recreated Prime Evil bosses drops a Splinter: Diablo's Splinter of Terror beneath Tristram Cathedral, Baal's Splinter of Destruction at Arreat Summit, or Mephisto's Splinter of Hatred inside the Durance of Hate. Equip one and you get an Iconic Power tied to that Evil, an effect that periodically erupts from your character in combat and deals that Prime Evil's signature damage type. Upgrade to Mythic is the expensive one: it converts a normal Legendary directly into its Mythic version with a 1:1 stat transfer, though the result gets a "Crafted" tag that limits you to equipping one at a time.

05Patch 3.2.1's Class Balance Changes

The trailer covers the season fantasy, but patch 3.2.1's class changes affect everyone, seasonal or not. Barbarian's core stat scalar drops from 1.1 to 0.8 alongside nerfs to Rallying Cry and Call of the Ancients, while Druid, Necromancer, Paladin and Sorcerer all get their core stat scalars raised somewhere between 1.25 and 1.625. Necromancer specifically picks up buffs to Corpse Explosion builds and the Soul Rift skill, Paladin's Judgment now scales off your applying skill's rank, and Sorcerer's Cold archetype gets enough of a push that it's meant to compete with Fire and Lightning builds again.

Drop rates move too: Legendary items are more common across Torment I through V, Mythic Unique odds increase from every source that offers them, and Single Resistance affixes now carry seven times the value of All Resistance, which changes late-game resistance capping math.
