World of Warcraft Patch 12.1.5 Is Live: New Raid and Labyrinth
World of Warcraft's Patch 12.1.5 is live, adding the Unbinding of Kith'ix raid, the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan, Aqir Invasions and a Season 2 refresh.
Patch 12.1.5 for World of Warcraft: Midnight goes live today, October 13, following weekly maintenance in the Americas (October 14 in Europe). It is the mid-season content update for Season 2, and it adds a new raid, the game's first Labyrinth, a zone-wide public event, and a story chapter that wraps up the Quel'Thalas and Zul'Aman arc. Here's everything that changed.
01The Unbinding of Kith'ix: a new single-boss raid
The headline addition is The Unbinding of Kith'ix, a single-boss raid set in the Venomous Abyss beneath the Vaults of Ula'tek. You fight alongside Lady Liadrin against Kith'ix, the C'Thraxxi general whose bindings were weakened after Ula'tek's defeat earlier this season. Blizzard shipped the encounter across five difficulties: Story Mode, Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic, with Mythic using a flexible 15-to-25-player group size instead of a fixed raid size.

The raid ties directly into the patch's story campaign, The Promise of Tomorrow, in which you help maintain an uneasy peace between Quel'Thalas and Zul'Aman before descending into the Coiled Isle for a final confrontation with Kith'ix.
02Labyrinth of Kindo'jan: the first Labyrinth
Patch 12.1.5 introduces Labyrinths, a new mega-dungeon format built on top of the Delves system. The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan is a nine-chamber challenge set in an Amani funeral complex north of Amani Pass in Eversong Woods, explored alongside the companion Valeera Sanguinar. You can clear it in a single long run or tackle one wing at a time, and each additional chamber you finish adds more treasure, more risk, and a shot at Mythic-quality gear. Entry starts from either "The Long Way Around" quest via Liadrin above Thresh Cove, or "The Labyrinth" from Kul'amara at Tokka's Landing, and clearing the Chamber of Rites unlocks the rest of the Labyrinth through the spirit guide Kinduru.
03Aqir Invasions take over Eversong and Zul'Aman
A new zone-wide public event, Aqir Invasion, runs for 10 minutes every hour in Eversong Woods or Zul'Aman. Each invasion cycles through one of six scenario types, three combat and three non-combat, and combat scenarios can roll one of eight affixes, including Void Protection, Aqir Burrower, Void Sphere, Swarms!, Aqir Elites, Void Infestation, and Web Weavers. Completing objectives before the window closes is what nets the rewards, so treat each invasion as a short, repeatable burst rather than a long-form activity.

04Season 2's mid-season refresh and Ascendant Venomstones
The patch also kicks off Season 2's mid-season refresh. In Silvermoon City, Orin Straylight offers a quest chain that unlocks an extra Nebulous Voidcore per week for bonus item rolls, starting with the "In the Catalyst's Shadow" and "Prismatic Potential" quests and continuing into "Umbral Blessings of the Catalyst." The week of October 13 brings "Ancient Depths, Ancient Venom," which starts research on a new upgrade material, Ascendant Venomstones. The week of October 20 follows with "Ascending with Venomstones" and lifts the crest cap for the rest of the season.
Ascendant Venomstones drop from Heroic and Mythic raid bosses, Mythic+ dungeons at Tier 10 and above, Tier 11 Bountiful Delves, and Nightmare Prey Hunt Champion gear chests. Collect 10 of them and you can use the Catalyst in Silvermoon City to raise the item level of a fully upgraded Season 2 Hero or Myth piece, or a max-quality Tidal Crafted weapon, trinket, or necklace. A new Mythic+ achievement, Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2, also goes live, requiring a Mythic+ rating of at least 3,600 for the "Venomous Contender" title and the Timelost Saddle mount.
05Class changes and other adjustments
Blizzard's 12.1.5 notes list balance changes across multiple specializations. Devourer Demon Hunters get reworked Collapsing Star and Soulforged Blades tuning, Restoration Druids see Nature's Bounty redesigned so Regrowth splashes healing onto nearby allies, Marksmanship Hunters lose Unload in favor of the new Blood Fletching talent, and Protection Warriors get a 30% Execute damage increase. Housing also picks up quality-of-life fixes, including Page Up and Page Down for switching floors in floorplan edit mode and cheaper crafted decor from pre-Midnight professions. Separately, Legion and Battle for Azeroth reputations are now shared across your entire warband instead of being tracked per character.
06When does Patch 12.1.5 go live?
The update is rolling out today, October 13, after the Americas' weekly maintenance window, with the European realms following on October 14. As with any patch day, expect a brief period of realm downtime before the new raid, Labyrinth, and Aqir Invasions become accessible.
